One of Nature’s Most Powerful Healers Are Closer than You May Think. What are Probiotics and How Do They Contribute to a Strong & Healthy Body?

Our bodies are living cultures. When we take responsibility (meaning the ability to respond) to nourish and care for our bodies they give back to us ten fold! Everything is connected, once we re-establish the healthy flora in our bodies they will thrive in our bodies providing powerful and healing qualities that reflect into our physical world.

One of our first exposures to this micro flora is through our mother’s birth canal; we are coated with a layer of bacteria. If our mother was healthy she blessed us with a nice shield of friendly armor. If she may have been dealing with Candida at the time of birth or an unhealthy lifestyle than this too was transferred to the baby. This along with pharmaceutical drugs & tap water often destroy or suppress our own immune response thus killing off many of our friendly bacteria and contributing to disease in the body. An over-growth of unfriendly bacteria can easily create imbalances such as Acne, Allergies, Autism, Immune Disorders & the list goes on.

If this was the case for you as a child – you are not to worry! Our bodies are miraculous and come bouncing back with an abundance of energy when given natural care. The body wants to heal itself by its very nature. If you are starting a family this is something to consider for your own child’s health. We build our world one child at a time.

The best thing to do in order to re culture our gut is to feed it the friendly micro flora.

When the friendly bacteria proliferate we experience healthy skin, weight loss, increased immune response, better digestion & healthy bowel movements because these little sentient beings are constantly producing enzymes, B vitamins and other nutrients that support a healthy internal environment.

Internally our “gut” or intestinal system is our line of defense in keeping the skin healthy, vibrant & our immune system strong. Skin issues are often related to what is going on inside our gut. The ratio to healthy & unhealthy bacteria in the intestine is said to be best at 80/20. When this is in check rest assured the body will thrive.

Lipophilli Bacteria are fat-soluble microbes that live on the exterior of our skin. They keep viruses, infections and fungal issues at bay. This protective layer is required for our body to maintain a radiant & youthful glow. It is the harsh soaps & cleansers out there that strip these oils from the skin opening our immune system up to invaders.

Probiotics will also acidify the colon (maintaining a proper pH between 6.7 and 6.9); normalize our bowel movements; produce key minerals & vitamins; produce lactase (for lactose intolerance); & remove toxic waste from the body.

If you choose to supplement with Probiotics a good idea might be to take a teaspoon in the morning, on an empty stomach, and a teaspoon at night before bed. This way we coat the digestive tract and allow the organisms to proliferate without interruption. Choosing a high quality probiotic that is proteolytic, which means they break down the proteins into amino acids is crucial. This will allow the amino acids to convert in the body to create strong healthy bones, skin & hair. This allows us the ability to manufacture our own metabolic enzymes and hormones. Probiotics are key to vibrant health!

Other ways to get your Probiotics could be coconut kefir water, cultured vegetables & cultured nut seeds & cheeses. Colostrum is also full of probiotics.

As we modify the terrain the unfriendly bacteria will no longer have the environment to thrive. This really goes hand and hand with our world. We are learning to reinvent and recreate our world to be a happier, healthier place. As we clean up our own terrain we will see the manifestation in our physical world.

The Ancient Power of the 5 Tibetan Rites

The 5 Tibetan Rites were introduced to me thru Jennifer Kries an amazing Pilates Instructor in New York City. With a true magical power these rites have uplifted many souls and even allowed them to progress on their highest path.  The effects they have on the body systems are astounding and some say they are “The Fountain of Youth.”

Each Rite gives an energy wash and cleanse to the Chakra system as well as the Endocrine glands. As this occurs the hormones come into balance and the kidney’s get vibrational energy from the heavens & the earth. This creates an increase of Jing in the body. With our essence nourished & our kidneys supported we feel a sense of inner peace & a feeling of security.

The rites provide the body with energy, vitality and clarity of mind. As we code our bodies on a cellular level with the Rites we begin to feel & see there effects in our lives.

I enjoy doing these movements on the earth for the grounding quality the land offers us.  We can associate the rites with the elements and the spirit around us.  With Reverence we can open up to their innate power.

Below are pictures of each Rite:

Why Adorn Your Body with Organic & Wild Crafted Essences?

As a Natural Lifestyle Enthusiast Organic & Wild Crafted skincare is of the utmost importance to me. Why?  Well because our skin is the largest organ of our body.  The skin takes in and absorbs everything we put on it or are exposed to including any chemicals, pesticides, make up, environmental pollution etc.  This then goes into the blood stream and can cause havoc on the body systems.

When we choose 100% Wild Crafted & Organic products we are giving our whole immune system support and our skin the ability to breathe.  I have noticed many companies claim to have clean and natural products even claiming organic and in reality the product is full of chemicals or GMO (genetically modified organisms) ingredients.

I recommend creating your own products and if you don’t have the time or interest then find a completely clean source for your body care requirements. I have done a good amount of research on the subject and my preference and recommendation is Living Libations.  Check them out and adorn yourself with the purest products on the market.

Here are some things you can start using right away to become self sufficient in your body care regime!

Essential oils are great for cleaning the skin and for therapeutic use.  If you have learned or studied the “Bach Flower Remedies,” you will note that many flower essences contribute to the health and well being of the mind, body and soul.  It’s quite interesting to note that when the body has wild plants &flowers to eat and be nourished with inside and out it seems to thrive.  The body can breathe and expand into its natural state of being effortlessly.

Another wonderful natural beauty product is Aloe.  You can find the thick Aloe growing in many areas of the country however your local health food store may sell Aloe in the produce section.

Buy a large leaf and fillet the inside and apply to the skin after cleansing. Apply it in the middle of the day and to the eye area for incredible results. If you watch an aloe plant after it is cut it actually starts to heal itself! This tells you that it has an incredible nutrient profile of enzymes, polysaccharides and amino acids to regenerate your skin.  Beyond that it can be taken internally to lubricate the brain, joints and nervous system. It helps the immune system to handle viral issues and also fights against Candida Albicans (the type of yeast that is best kept at low levels in your intestinal tract).

I also recommend Raw, Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar taken internally and used on the body and scalp for overall health. The PH of Apple Cider Vinegar is very close to that of the exterior of your skin. This is important as Soap is alkaline and actually strips the body of the healthy bacteria that is required on the outside of our skin to keep us armed with “the good guys!”  This type of Vinegar does not feed yeast and is low cost if you are on a budget. The applications are quite abundant from steaming some with spring water for a facial, creating a scalp tonic for lustrous and shiny hair , using as a douche & internally enjoying some to ensure great digestion.  It has the ability to assist the body in creating hydrochloric acid required for digesting food.

So enjoy the flowers, the plants, the elements as your guide to a 100% natural, wild crafted you!

The Benefits of Spring Water and the Dangers of Tap Water

I grew up in a small town on the western side of Pennsylvania. We were on our own well water system at the time.   Also, my father would  fill up jugs for us from a local spring for drinking. The spring was coming from far underneath the ground protected from pollution of any sort.  I did not realize this at the time but what a blessing and how smart that my Dad thought to do this.  Thankfully we were surrounded by nature where I lived and had plenty of forest to play in too. We had neighbors who grew food like blueberries, tomatoes and other vegetables.  The milk man delivered milk in glass bottles! All of these things contributed to the consciousness I now hold about a Natural Life Style. I am grateful.

The single important thing you could do for your freedom is locate a fresh water spring & drink only that living water.  Your body will change on a cellular level and so will your life.  I highly recommend it. Look at leaders in the holistic wellness arena such as David Wolfe or Daniel Vitalis and see what they say about Spring Water!! Spring water holds a high vibration and is crystalline in its structure.  It takes on the vibration and energy of that which it is around. So just with that being said you can see a difference in water coming deep from within the ground or from your local municipal water source.

The Government treats the water with many different chemicals and gets it to a fairly neutral ph.  The TDS or total dissolved solids in that water is an indication of how much calcium & minerals are in it.  When you go to forage your spring water take a TDS meter with you. This will let you know roughly the mineral content and I prefer it to be fairly low.

Here are a few common things found in tap water:

  • Pharmaceutical Drugs
  • Chlorine – Destroys the arteries and causes scarring inside the body. It also messes with the friendly bacteria in the body.
  • Fluroide- lethal and toxic drug that is really dangerous to the entire body especially the pineal gland.
  • Arsenic
  • Lead
  • Cadmium
  • Mercury
  • Sex Hormones
  • Flame Retardants
  • Herbicides
  • Pesticides

This list could go on and on but you get the idea. A small filter like a brita or a two stage filter is not enough to get the contaminants out of the water.  Also bottled water is mostly just tap water. If you do a little research on the company or whomever is selling it you will find out what is really in that water. Not to mention the plastic is manipulating your own body chemistry and hormone levels.  I suggest getting a whole house filter system from a reputable company.  As for drinking water find a local spring to forage water from.

I think this is one of the most single important things we can do for are health. Bathing in tap water is one of the worst things you can do.  The best thing you can do is have a really high quality filter put on your shower head and let the bath fill up from there. That is what I do.  I like Omica’s shower filter.  Or how about this; best thing ever is to go live near a spring or clean lake or body of water…connect with it on an energetic level and utilize the water for your body’s healing. We hold all of the elements in our bodies: fire, water, earth & air. To me the water symbolizes the fluids in our body, the earth our bones and muscles, the air our breath, the fire our digestion and soul.

Spring water, which is pure, living, structured water contributes to cellular integrity, longevity and a healthy mind, body and soul.  On the other hand Tap Water contributes to disease, rapid aging, unhealthy skin and the list goes on.

Remember what I mentioned earlier about water holding a vibration and frequency to that which it is exposed to. Think about the vibration of tap water?  I feel that the mass consciousness of fear and many other negative beliefs are held in the imprint of that water.

Spring water is free and clean and pure!  When you drink 5 gallons of spring water over the course of 1 week all of the fluid in your body has been renewed.

What are Xeno Hormones and How do they Effect the Endocrine System?

The endocrine system is made up of the following glands:

  • hypothalmus
  • pituitary
  • thyroid
  • para thyroid
  • adrenals
  • pineal gland
  • reproductive glands

In the modern world our body can be exposed to xeno estrogens or what are known as xeno hormones. These are synthetic hormones that caricature estrogen in the body.

If you do your research you will find they are in common household products, make up, cans that canned food comes in, saran wrap, most all plastics,  tampons, non-organic pads for menstruation, hair spray, perfumes, soda cans and the list goes on. You get the idea.

I would like to zero in on women’s health and how it is vital to become wise about xeno hormones, especially during your moon cycle.  Since the endocrine system rules the regulation of your mood, growth & development, tissue function, metabolism, sex function and reproductive organ health it is best to follow a natural way of living in order to keep this system running clean and efficient.

A few tips would be simply to consider using eco friendly “moon pads.” A moon pad is a handmade  organic hemp or cotton fabric used in place of commercial tampons or pads. It is a reusable cloth that your body can bleed into at your time of menstruation. With moonpads we assist mother earth as well, by lessening the waste we dump into our landfills, not to mention our wildlife species.  We can feel more harmonious at this time of the month while allowing our blood to flow naturally. This relates to letting go of the emotions that are no longer serving us. We can also recognize that women have an opportunity to cleanse there body of toxins. Unlike men, women are given a chance each month to cleanse, wow!!!

Tampons and Pads are mostly laden with chemicals and xeno estrogens which cause serious disruption to the delicate hormone balance of the body.  This can cause hair growth in women especially around the mouth and chin. It can also cause breast cysts as well as ovarian cysts.  A cyst is the bodies way of collecting accumulated toxins into one specific area in a way to try and protect the body.

So if there is one thing you can do for your overall health it would be to switch to a more natural way of collecting your blood during the moon cycle. This is simply going back to the ways things used to be done centuries ago.  You can see that our modern world has created some opportunities for us to study how to live a natural life.  Here is a link to a great source for moon pads on one of my favorite websites, Etsy.  Here is the link:

Other places where you will find xeno hormones:

  • Plastic Wrap especially toxic when heated.
  • Commercially Raised Meat Products- not only are the animals fed estrogenic drugs to fatten up but the food they eat is also laden with chemicals.
  • Birth Control Pills
  • Commercial Shampoos & Conditioners
  • Plastic Bottles
  • Sun Screen
  • Herbicides -used for commercial gardens

Note:  I would also like to mention that a women’s moon cycle is to be about 3 days in length and easy and effortless. This means no pain or cramping. The blood flow should be minimal and not excessively heavy. In Chinese medicine we know that when we have an excess of blood flow we have an insufficient amount of Chi or Life Force.  The more stagnant or congested the Liver Chi is the more inconsistency the woman’s cycle is.  If the spleen is week you will notice insufficient amounts of blood leaving the body meaning not enough chi. A symptom of chi loss in general is signs of fatigue.

We must build our blood and learn how to increase our chi. This way our bodies and especially in this case our endocrine system have the beautiful opportunity to run clean, efficient, free and harmonious with the natural cycle of life!

Many Blessings to you and yours!

What is an Adaptogen and How Can Our Bodies Benefit from them?

An Adaptogen assists the body in metabolic regulation therefore it is a way for the body to handle stress factors. A stress factor might be external (environmental), internal (physiological) or maybe anxiety.  A from of illness would be a huge stress factor.

Fortunately there are many super foods & herbs out there that promote adaptogenic qualities. Consuming a high quality Adaptogenic herb on  a regular basis is a good idea especially living in our environment today. It gives us vitality, strong brain function and emotional health.  We become more resistant to stress and our adrenals can function properly. Most peoples adrenals burn out do to stress.

We are swimming in a sea of electro magnetic fields given off by cell phone towers , computers, smart phones, and all electric devices.  We can protect ourselves from radiation exposure through the use of adaptogenic herbs as well. Other factors may be internal disease or emotional issues.

Here are a list of some Adaptogens:

Reishi Mushroom

Holy Basil

Schizandra Berry

Lycium fruit or Goji Berries

These are just to name a few. So we know now that Adaptogen’s bring protection to the body and create harmony in our cells to handle stressors whether they are emotional, physical, mental or environmental.

Other wonderful ways to combat the stressors on the body is taking up some form of martial art like Tai Chi or Chi Gong, these practices will enhance the bodies resistance to stress.
